Uninstall Office Manually

Uninstall Office manually helps to remove Office on your computer when uninstall doesn’t complete from the apps & features Windows setting. Follow the step listed here to remove Office 2019/365/2016/2013/2010.

1- Delete Office logs and Windows installer package

  1. Open File Explorer and click on the local disk (:C).
  2. Select Program Files and open it.
  3. Search for Microsoft Office 15 or 16 folders and delete it from your computer.

2- Remove the Office scheduled tasks from your PC

  1. Right-click on the Start and Click on the Run from the menu list.
  2. In the Run dialogue box, type cmd as admin and select OK.
  3. Copy and paste the command line from here and hit Enter after each command line.

schtasks.exe /delete /tn "\Microsoft\Office\Office Subscription Maintenance"

schtasks.exe /delete /tn "\Microsoft\Office\OfficeTelemetryAgentFallBack2016"

3- Delete the Office Click-to-Run Services

  1. Open Command Prompt as an admin from the Windows search.
  2. Copy and paste command (sc delete ClickToRunSvc) in the Command Prompt Windows and hit Enter.

4- Delete the Office files from your computer

  1. Right-click on the Start and Click on the Run fromthe menu list.
  2. In the Run dialogue box, type %ProgramFiles% and select OK.
  3. Delete Microsoft Office and Microsoft Office 16 Folders.
  4. In the Run dialogue box, type %ProgramFiles(x86)% and select OK.
  5. Delete Microsoft Office.
  6. In the Run dialogue box, type %ProgramData%\Microsoft and select OK.
  7. Delete the ClickToRun folder. If the folder does not exist, go to the next step.
  8. In the Run dialogue box, type %ProgramData%\Microsoft\Office and select OK.
  9. Delete the ClickToRunPackagerLocker file.

5- Delete the MS Office registry subkeys from your PC

  1. Right-click on the Start and Click on the Run from the menu list.
  2. In the Run dialogue box, type Regedit and select OK.
  3. Delete the following Office registry subkeys:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\ClickToRun
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\AppVISV
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Microsoft Office <Edition> - en-us
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office
  1. Then Delete the Office key.

6- Delete the Office Start menu shortcuts files

  1. Right-click on the Start and Click on the Run from the menu list.
  2. In the Run dialogue box, type %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs and select OK.
  3. Delete the “Microsoft Office 2016 Tools” folder.
  4. Delete each of the “<application> 2016” shortcuts for each of the Office 2016 applications. For example, “Word 2016”, “Excel 2016”, “PowerPoint 2016”.
